The Directors of St John the Baptist Catholic Multi-Academy Trust are seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to join the senior leadership team of Sacred Heart, with a strategic focus on behaviour and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). About the Role:

As Assistant Headteacher, you will:

• Lead on whole-school behaviour strategy, fostering a calm, safe, and respectful learning environment.
• Oversee SEND provision, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to thrive.
• Work closely with the Headteacher to drive school improvement and raise standards.
• Support and develop staff in delivering inclusive, trauma-informed practice.
• Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and the wider community.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a proven track record of improving behaviour and outcomes for pupils with SEND.
• Brings energy, empathy, and a relentless commitment to equity and inclusion.
• Is a skilled communicator and team player, able to inspire and support colleagues.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-need environment and remains calm under pressure.
• Holds (or is working towards) the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent experience.
