The Ruth Gorse Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Literacy Tutor. This role is crucial to our work as an Academy. The successful applicant will be expected to support students individually and in groups to develop their reading and literacy skills, including those with SEND needs and lower reading ages. They will assist learners in making effective use of a wide range of resources, deliver interventions, and provide administrative support in the library as needed.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Grade C/4 and above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Passionate about working with young people to improve literacy and develop wider learning skills.
• A love of reading.
