We are looking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Headteacher, who will play a central role in shaping the ethos and culture of this specialist provision for 8-16 year olds with social, emotional and mental health needs in Bury St Edmunds.
The Assistant Headteacher role comes with a teaching commitment, and you will be part of shaping our long-term aim to provide outstanding learning opportunities for our pupils. In addition, you will have a track record of effective working with parents, carers and wider stakeholders to support the SEND and EHCP process with a comprehensive understanding of pastoral interventions for pupils with additional needs and how they support aims of EHCPs. You will be responsible for the development of the pastoral team and have excellent communication skills, alongside a strategic yet flexible approach to school leadership.
